Official Membership

Open to any male 12 years or older who can substantiate his relation to an original Confederate Soldier active during the American Civil War. This level requires the candidate filling out an application for membership in the SCV and then providing the basic records to illustrate his relationship to the ancestor. Our camp has two or more gentlemen who can assist the candidate in this search and documentation. Papers will then be presented to the National Headquarters for verification accompanied with a check for the first year dues to the National organization. Annual dues for our local Camp #1493 are $40. Life membership applications are also available.

Associate Membership

This membership is for any official member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans who has joined under another camp in the organization but also wishes to belong to Camp #1493. Annual dues are $20.

Friend of the Camp

This membership is open to any male or female of all ages who cannot or does not have a Confederate ancestor but would like to support the Camp. This membership can also be used by any male over the age of 12 years who is currently researching his or her Confederate ancestor. Annual dues are $20.
